All are welcome ...
We have about 50 singers in the Adult Choir and 25 in the Guitar Gang - men and women, all ages. Our goal is that everyone in each group feels included and accepted and that as we sing together we create joy, have fun and learn something at the same time.
Lynne and Reg have lived on the Sunshine Coast for 42+ years. Music Makers was created in 1994 in order for them to use some of their creative energy ... and they needed a job! Lynne and Reg regularly perform together with Warren Allan (the Other Guy) and with Definitely Diva. Currently Lynne is the vocalist for the Creek Big Band which satisfies her need for dress-up clothes ... and Reg is busy entertaining in care facilities and teaching guitar.
NEW for 2017! Choir for the Terrified - directed by Lynne
For folks who would like to sing in a choir but are reluctant for whatever reason. You could have been told not to sing or that you cannot sing on key or you may just want an easy entry into the choir experience. We will have lots of fun in a totally positive environment. You can even just have a listening turn if you wish ... just get yourself to the Music Makers studio Monday mornings at 10:30 starting September 11. For more information e-mail Lynne at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Adult Choir - directed by Lynne
The Adult Choir is for anyone who would like to come out and sing. You do not need to read music. You do not need any previous experience. You do need the desire to be part of a team of good natured folks who learn as they go. We sing in three and four part harmony - jazz, folk, pop, gospel and whatever else we feel like doing. Wednesdays from 7 to 9 pm.
Guitar Gang - directed by Reg
Guitar Gang is a fun loving group of players from novice to advanced who get together to play and sing. Reg has an excellent repertoire of songs to share and the list keeps growing - folk, swing, golden oldies, gospel, country, you name it - from easy two chord songs to more complex arrangements. He knows all the chords! Once a month on Tuesdays from 7:30 to 9 pm. See 'Special Events' for dates.
